Dr. Rohit Kumar Jha is a Surgical Oncologist in Ranchi with advanced superspecialty training in cancer surgery. He completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi, and later pursued MCh in Surgical Oncology from Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, Ahmedabad.

His professional journey reflects a strong commitment to cancer care, surgical excellence, academic growth, and patient support. At RIMS Ranchi, he has contributed to the establishment and development of the Department of Surgical Oncology and has managed outpatient, inpatient, operative, pre-operative, and post-operative cancer care.

With experience in more than 2000 complex oncosurgical procedures, Dr. Jha has worked across multiple cancer specialties, including head and neck oncology, breast oncology, gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary oncology, thoracic oncology, uro-oncology, gynecological oncology, ortho-oncology, and soft tissue sarcoma surgery.

After completing undergraduate and postgraduate training from RIMS Ranchi, Dr. Rohit Kumar Jha underwent three years of superspecialty training in Surgical Oncology at GCRI Ahmedabad. Associate Professor in Surgical Oncology

RIMS, Ranchi. Responsible for management of outdoor, indoor and operative cancer patients. Dr. Jha has independently performed more than 2000 complex oncosurgical procedures across head and neck oncology, gynae oncology, GI and hepatobiliary oncology, thoracic oncology, uro-oncology, breast oncology, ortho-oncology, and soft tissue sarcomas.

His role also includes clinical supervision of general surgery residents during oncology posting, training of OT staff, technicians and nurses, multidisciplinary oncology meetings, and palliation services with end-of-life care for oncology patients.

Assistant Professor in Surgical Oncology

RIMS, Ranchi. Contributed to the establishment of the Department of Surgical Oncology at RIMS Ranchi, managed outpatient and inpatient cancer patients, handled operative care, and supported multidisciplinary cancer treatment coordination.

Samford Hospital, Ranchi. Worked independently as a Consultant in Surgical Oncology, providing outdoor, indoor and surgical oncology services. Also participated in teaching, conferences, academic activities and departmental initiatives.

Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, Ahmedabad. Underwent superspecialty training with fixed-tenure postings in head and neck oncology, gynae oncology, uro-oncology, ortho-oncology, GI and hepatobiliary oncology, thoracic oncology, breast oncology and soft tissue sarcomas.
